(Winner of BUILT Design Award 2021) (Winner of BUILT Design Award 2021) and the technical high school, HTL-Mödling, this extraordinary wood bench was designed in order to experience and show the effect of the natural building material wood. The VIP Lounge, exclusively built for the EXPO 2020, consists of more than 200 different parametrically calculated and CNC-milled 3-layer spruce panels. In the inner circle of the VIP bench cones are implemented, contributing to the idea of a traditional Arab meeting room. Students of the interior design course, led by Thomas Radatz, have created this masterpiece of furniture.
The EXPO 2020
will be open until 31.03.2022.
All wood shown is manufactured by Admonter.
