With an Admonter natural wood floor you are choosing excellent quality and a genuine natural product. With a little skill and the usual woodworking tools, installation can be done quickly and easily.
Before you start laying the floor, it makes sense to sort the floorboards by color in advance, as the type of installation can have a specific impact on the appearance of the room.
If the floorboards are laid in a gradient color scheme, they give the floor a homogeneous character; if light and dark floorboards are deliberately mixed, a lively, rustic appearance is achieved. The same floorboards in the same room can appear completely different depending on how they are installed.

English bond: Here the bars are laid in individual rows, but always offset by half of the parquet bar. This means that the English bond appears much quieter than floors that are laid in a wild bond.
Wild bond: The floorboards are always laid in individual rows. In each row the bars are staggered a little. How far the bars can be offset is arbitrary, although the end joints must have the required minimum distances (small format 30 cm / classic format 50 cm).
You also have to decide whether the floor should be laid “floating” or “glued”. Full-surface bonding brings advantages in terms of improved impact sound and increased efficiency of underfloor heating. With floating installation, however, any future replacement of the floor is much easier to carry out. 1- and 2-layer products must always be glued over the entire surface
Easiest for do-it-yourselfers: Laying in a wild bond using the Lock-it system
Start in a corner of the room from left to right with the feather facing the wall. The necessary distance from the wall (depending on the room dimensions – usually 10 – 15 mm) must be maintained using wedges so that the floor can expand later. The second plank of the first row is aligned exactly in a straight line, placed in the groove of the first plank on the face side and then pressed down until the plank clicks into place audibly and visibly. For quick and easy installation, we rely on the patented 5G® Lock. System from Välinge.
You can use the sections of the previous row as the first plank of the next row. It is important that these have a minimum length of 30 cm. From the second row onwards, the planks are placed lengthwise (at an angle of 30°) into the groove of the row already on the floor and then folded down. The offset between the end joints and the next row must be at least. 50 cm.
Complete the laying of the room in the same way.
