Dirt, dust and small stones can scratch the surface in the long term and damage the wood. Therefore, the basis of any parquet care is simple cleaning. The gentlest way to sweep the floor is with a broom. When using a vacuum cleaner, an attachment with an integrated brush should be used. In this way, dust and dirt are gently removed from the floor surface and more severe soiling or damage can be prevented.
The brush glides gently over the wood, removes dust, gives the floor shine and pride, a touch of purity, a dance of care, parquet shines and does not appear sluggish.
To ensure that your parquet floor retains its natural beauty, it is important to maintain it regularly, we recommend Admonter Clean and Care here
Attention should also be paid to the choice of cloth. Avoid microfiber cloths that do not come from a professional. These can abrade the wood and damage the protective surface. It is therefore better to use a good old cotton cloth. In addition, you should not drown the floor in water. Wipe it with a damp cloth and it will shine.
After wet cleaning, the parquet floor must dry completely. This takes about 30 minutes, during which time the surface should not be walked on.
Is your parquet floor a real gem and do you want it to shine for many years to come? Then we recommend re-oiling from time to time. You can find out when the time is right with a simple trick:
Put a small drop of water somewhere on the edge or in a corner on the floor. If the water is absorbed immediately, it is time for re-oiling. You can find the right oil here. If the drop is not absorbed, the surface is still sufficiently protected.
In order to maintain the durability and beauty of the parquet floor for decades to come, the parquet should be professionally cleaned after a few years. This can refresh the color and make the floor shine again. To do this, the floor is deep-cleaned using a cleaning machine. A fresh coat of oil is then applied. This basic cleaning should be carried out by a specialist in order to maintain the shine and durability of the parquet.
