Pine – the long-lasting one

Pine trees are widespread throughout Europe and grow most often by the sea or in high mountains. There they are very often exposed to strong winds, which shape their character:

  • Durable and tough
  • Weather resistant
  • Versatile in use

The Celts called the pine tree the “Fire tree” because it is particularly combustible due to its high resin content. The healing properties of the resin are also valued for cold ointments.
