Natural oils, which are applied to the wood and also penetrate the wood, offer long-term protection for your natural product. Oiled floors are easy to clean and maintain, have an antibacterial effect, can be partially repaired and also refreshed, regulate the room climate and are warmer than lacquered floors due to the direct contact with the wood.
With lacquered floors, the surface of the wood is sealed. This surface offers protection against soiling with minimal cleaning effort. However, it is not possible to repair damaged or scratched areas, nor is it possible to refresh them. Lacquered floors are colder due to the surface layer on the wood.
The advantages of a natural oiled surface, a comparison of our surface systems and a video on the liquid test can be found here.

Mix Admonter Clean Care and water and wipe with a damp cloth, this applies to both natural oiled and matt lacquered floors. The exact dosage and cleaning tips can be found in our installation and care instructions. From time to time, we recommend re-oiling/refreshing your naturally oiled parquet floor with Admonter maintenance oil. It is not possible to re-oil/refresh matt lacquered surfaces.
In general, it can be said that sweeping and vacuuming are usually sufficient to care for your Admonter. If you mop, then use water and Clean Care according to our care instructions and, if necessary, re-oil the naturally oiled floor with our care oil.
Please ensure an optimum room climate (30-65% humidity), especially during the heating period. Your health and your floor will thank you for it.

This depends on how heavily it is used. As soon as your parquet looks gray and/or dull or depending on the wear and tear, we recommend cleaning approx. every 1-2 weeks and oiling every 12-24 months for naturally oiled floors. Daily mopping is not recommended, as frequent mopping dries out the floor and therefore requires more frequent re-oiling/moisturizing.
The different structures on Admonter parquet floors best convey the natural product wood, as they are perceived as pleasant and natural when walked on barefoot. The following applies to all structures: additional pore protection and improved scratch resistance of the oiled surface ensure that the cleaning effort remains low in the future. Our natural oiled Easy Care surface is an easy-care surface and is ready to use after installation and the first cleaning. Matt lacquered floors are sealed, cleaning with CleanCare and water is sufficient.
Regular maintenance with our Admonter Clean Care and re-oiling with Admonter Maintenance Oil from time to time will ensure that your naturally oiled floor remains beautiful for a long time. It is generally important to always wipe in the direction of the grain.

We recommend our repair oils for naturally oiled floors. Minor damage can be repaired by applying with a brush. (Always test on a sample before application and wait until the repair oil has dried). Larger scratches/damage can only be repaired by replacing the floorboards. Matt lacquered floors cannot be repaired, in this case we also recommend replacing the planks. In this case, please contact an Admonter showroom partner in your area.

The following applies here: wipe the stain away immediately. Then clean with Admonter Clean Care and water (do not scrub away the stain, otherwise light-colored stains may form which will remain visible later). If necessary, re-oil with the appropriate care oil. Grease splashes should usually disappear after a while or can also be softened by applying care oil. If you have any problems, please contact our service team directly and make an appointment for an inspection/repair: service@admonter.at

We have the following tips for this:
Step 1: Once you have noticed the mishap, it is best to wipe up the liquid immediately. Please do not use a rough surface, but a soft cotton cloth or a normal cloth. This will prevent the surface from becoming rough.
Step 2: If the natural oiled parquet floor has been more affected, you can treat the floor surface with Admonter Clean Care after mopping. To do this, mix the Clean Care with the prescribed mixing ratio (approx. 10l warm water with approx. 100ml Clean Care), pour over the stain, leave to work for a while and then wipe away with the grain of the natural wood floor. Repeat if necessary.

It is in the nature of things that wood changes due to UV light/sunlight. Depending on the intensity of the sunlight, light woods become darker and dark woods lighter. This effect is particularly intense in the first three to six months after installation.
For this reason, please do not place any carpets or similar on the new parquet flooring during the initial period. Otherwise you would exclude some areas from the even, natural color change.

Admonter parquet floors are ideally suited for use on underfloor heating systems (designed in accordance with DIN EN 1264 series). Due to the improved heat transfer and low joint formation, full-surface bonding with Admonter Elastic parquet adhesive has proven to be the ideal installation system. In principle, warm water low-temperature underfloor heating systems are recommended, whereby 29°C must not be exceeded as the limit value for the surface temperature in accordance with DIN EN 1264 (series) and ÖNORM B 2242, even in the edge zones.
Installation on underfloor cooling systems is also possible.

Wood is a living material and adapts to its surroundings. It absorbs moisture when the humidity in the room is high and releases it again when the humidity in the room is too dry. Wood therefore regulates the air humidity and contributes to a pleasant room climate.
The ideal humidity level should be between 30% and 65%. This can be measured with a hygrometer. The room temperature also has an influence on the humidity.
If the humidity in the room is too low, electric humidifiers or indoor plants can help to increase the humidity over a longer period of time.
You can find the ideal interplay between humidity and room temperature in our comfort diagram.
In order to minimize the formation of gaps during the heating period, particular attention must be paid to compliance with the climate specifications. The natural material wood absorbs moisture and releases moisture again. Our products therefore contribute to human health. Humidifiers, correct ventilation (shock ventilation), green plants or even small fountains help to keep the indoor climate in the optimum range, whereby regular monitoring using a hygrometer is necessary. Humidity recovery systems in ventilation systems are also possible.
You can find the ideal interplay between humidity and room temperature in our comfort diagram.
Yes, this is possible under certain conditions.

The literal plank classic from Admonter in lengths from 1850 to 2400 mm.
An expansion joint can be seen at doors, predetermined breaking points of screed, at pillars etc. and serves to allow the natural floor to expand and contract again according to temperature and humidity. Expansion joints are a matter for a floor layer and should never be carried out by laymen.
The bevel is a beveled surface that is created on the plank edges. Depending on the bevel thickness, the bevel highlights and emphasizes each plank individually.
Pre-finished parquet is the name given to industrially manufactured, surface-treated wooden flooring elements, which are usually profiled, joined together by gluing (tongue and groove) or locking (lock-it) and do not require any basic post-treatment such as sanding or puttying after installation.
Laying Admonter natural flooring on underfloor heating is generally not a problem. However, in order to achieve optimum thermal conductivity, the specifications in the installation and care instructions must be observed. All Admonter natural floors are suitable for installation on underfloor heating.
Many laminate floors imitate the appearance of a high-quality floor covering (usually parquet), but consist of an inexpensive base layer that is decorated and sealed with a thin decorative layer. This type of flooring is very inexpensive and easy to install (compared to parquet or high-quality tiles, for example). However, all laminate flooring has one disadvantage in common: if the surface is damaged or worn, it cannot be refurbished or sanded down like a wooden floor, as the substrate would immediately be exposed under the decorative layer.
As the name suggests, solid parquet consists of a solid, continuous layer of wood. However, this traditional type of parquet is not entirely problem-free, as it tends to warp much more than multi-layer parquet under fluctuating temperature and humidity conditions.
Multi-layer parquet is more resistant to fluctuating room conditions than solid parquet, as several layers compensate for moisture and room temperature differences and stabilize the floor. There is both 2-layer parquet and 3-layer parquet. In 2-layer parquet, a top layer of the desired wood species is glued to a core layer. In 3-layer parquet, the top layer is glued to a crosswise middle layer, often made of softwood, and a back layer either made of the same type of wood as the top layer or also made of softwood.
2-strip, 3-strip flooring: Multi-strip flooring is also in plank format. In contrast to the wideplank, however, the top layer is not made from one piece of wood but from many small wooden strips. For this reason, multi-strip flooring is cheaper than wideplank flooring.
For floating installation, tongue and groove are glued together or Admonter lock-it variants are interlocked, but not glued to the subfloor. The advantages here are quick installation, little to no joint formation and low sound-conducting contact with the building.
Here, the planks are fully glued to the subfloor. This type of installation is recommended on underfloor heating, for installation in bathrooms and generally in the commercial sector. The advantages are that larger areas can be laid in one piece, less bulging can occur when laying on underfloor heating and renovation is made easier by sanding.
With lengths from 590 mm to 1200 mm. Suitable for herringbone installation with the smallest strip through to a plank look for small rooms with a big effect.
For large rooms and an extra large effect. Planks up to 2800 mm long. Dimesion: 15 x 280 mm.
For large rooms and an extra large effect. Planks up to 5000 mm long.
The planing combined with strong brushing across the grain gives the wood a special character.
3D-brushed and with additional traces of ageing. V-groove. This results in brand new floors with the engaging patina of decades. And with the added benefit of being particularly hard-wearing and durable
Every knot has its own purpose here. Waves, indentations, curves and different top layer thicknesses in the plank offer a varied surface.
This structure is not only particularly expressive, the embossing also gives the floor up to +25% greater indentation resistance (hardness) compared to a sanded surface.
The natural surface treatment using a plane creates an individual but natural look in which every irregularity is deliberately accentuated.
A strong longitudinal and transverse brushing makes the floor or board tangible and also gives it an attractive appearance.
Softer parts of the wood are brushed out. This gives the floor a textured surface. The pure sensuality of wood can be seen and felt in a unique way.
Nostalgic look meets contemporary implementation – the chopped tiles are a true inspiration. No wonder they enhance more than just walls.
Planing in the direction of the grain creates a special corrugation, which results in a particularly tangible experience of the natural wood floor or natural wood panel.
The standard for natural wood floors for many years. The surface appears elegant due to the sanding, the wood is completely even, depressions are evened out.
The heavy brushing allows the shape of the structure to shine through more prominently or more discreetly depending on the incidence of light. You can feel the intense grain, which gives this structure its clear, characteristic appearance.
Is an intensive partial cross-brushing that gives the plank a particularly characterful look and feel. For each plank, the brushing can be found on the edge, in the middle or over the entire surface – the mix results in the special appearance of this structure when laid in a mixed pattern.
The grading describes typical characteristics (e.g. knots, cracks, etc.) of the natural material wood and divides these into different classes according to number, occurrence and size. Admonter natural floors are available in knot-free (noblesse), knot-free (elegance), knotty (basic), rustico with brown putty (naturelle) and rustic with black putty (rustic) grading.

Matt varnish is the best choice if you want a natural floor that is practically maintenance-free. The varnished surface gives the planks a subtle matt appearance. The pores of the wood are closed, making the planks extremely durable and completely uncomplicated to maintain. The disadvantage is that partial repairs are not possible and the entire surface must be sanded down.
Colors, tastes and furnishing styles are as different as people and their needs. We therefore offer the option of individual surfaces for the design and implementation of your projects.
Untreated.
The traditional French and Hungarian herringbone pattern is the design highlight when it comes to bringing elegance to smaller, but also larger, rooms. The natural beauty of the wood comes into its own here and contributes to the classic look without ever appearing boring.
Practical to handle, diverse in designs and wood types, the herringbone is perfect for laying on small and large surfaces.
A plank is a wooden floor in plank format that is either solid or multi-layered. The plank is one of the most original types of parquet.
