Our passion? Wood! Our products? Made of wood!

Stable structures, durable products. One thing leads to another.

Admonter – the name is both an indication of origin and a commitment and guarantees exclusive production on site in Admont.

The origins of Admonter go back decades. Centuries to be precise. Wood has been processed in the densely wooded surroundings of Admont since 1074. Then industrially from 1874. And since 1972 also by Stift Admont Holzindustrie, STIA for short. In October 2017, the company name and legal form were changed to Admonter Holzindustrie AG.

As Admonter, we are a commercial enterprise of the local Benedictine monastery. We produce natural wood floors, panels, stairs, wall and ceiling cladding, acoustic panels and interior doors – all made from high-quality real wood. Our natural wood products have made a special name for themselves: Admonter. This name is both an indication of origin and a commitment. It guarantees that our products are manufactured exclusively on site. This ensures the high quality of the products and the well-being of a region. A tradition of craftsmanship that has grown over generations is kept alive – and continued. The long-term thinking of the Benedictines has a double effect. Economically and ecologically. With us, customers have the certainty of PEFC certification: the wood we process comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests.

A location with maximum stability.

Admont has been home to a Benedictine monastery for almost 1000 years. They were also the ones who founded the wood processing company Stift Admont, STIA for short, the company behind the Admonter brand, in 1972. They remain its owners to this day. For them, sound business practices are a matter of course. This gives both the people who work here and the products they manufacture the greatest possible stability.
