Pine – the long-lived

Pines are widespread throughout Europe and grow most frequently by the sea or in the high mountains, where they are often exposed to strong winds that shape their character:

  • Durable and tough
  • Weather resistant
  • Versatile in use

The Celts called the pine tree the “fire tree” because it is particularly flammable due to its high resin content. The healing properties of the resin are also valued for cold ointments.
