Bring the forest into your home!

Bring the forest into your home!

The advantages of wood - natural, beautiful and endlessly versatile

Here is a small selection of the many advantages of wood:

Wood is good for the indoor climate because it absorbs moisture from the environment and can also release it again if required.

Wood is good for our heart International studies have shown that there is a connection between wood and a low heart rate. The heart rate is lower in wooden buildings than in buildings of other construction methods.

Wood is sustainable As a renewable raw material, wood is one of the most natural materials for interior design and brings warmth and comfort to any room.

Wooden floors are hygienic While microorganisms are viable for a long time on plastic fibers, they die quickly on wood.

Wood is changeable Various colors, textures and appealing surfaces are available for every furnishing style.

Wood is beautiful

It is noble and of high quality. Whether oak, walnut, larch, reclaimed wood, ash, spruce, stone pine, pine and much more, there is something for every taste.

Wood is a stable and durable building material For thousands of years, wood has proven itself as a stable building material for houses, bridges and much more. A building material with a history and a future.

Wood is environmentally friendly and good for the climate For the production of one tonne of wood, around 1.9 tons of CO₂ are removed from the atmosphere and 500 kilograms of carbon are stored. Wood can also replace many climate-damaging materials.

Wood in the ecosystem The sustainable raw material supplier forest fulfills many functions: Producer of oxygen and drinking water, fine dust filter, soil protector, habitat, recreational area, regional employer and much more.

Wood for the future The bioeconomy has the potential to create new ecological products and processes and conserve resources.

Wood offers great advantages from many different perspectives. On the one hand, there are design advantages and constructive properties, and on the other, the sustainable benefits of wood and forests for the environment and climate.

Wood is a versatile material that is processed in many places, for example into furniture, flooring, decking, paper, packaging and much more. Added to this are the construction sector and the biorefinery, energy and textile industries, which are increasingly using wood and wood components as the number one renewable raw material.

The great advantage of wood: a sustainably managed forest always grows back and provides living and recreational space for people, animals and plants. Forests remove large quantities of carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the atmosphere and store it in the wood components. When wood is used as a material, for example in wooden houses, furniture or wooden floors, the carbon (C) remains bound over a long period of time, while new trees grow back and bind carbon again.

All these factors make wood an ingenious player in a future bio-based circular economy: low-carbon sustainable production, multiple cascade use and final energy recovery – not many raw materials can offer that!

The enormous potential is evident in all areas in which wood products replace fossil, climate-damaging materials.

Facts about parquet

Facts about parquet

Parquet is probably the most homely floor covering of all. We'll tell you why we think parquet belongs in every home.

100 percent natural, elegant appearance and lifelong durability.

Anyone who appreciates these attributes swears by parquet.

Parquet flooring makes a room really cozy and no other floor covering can hold a candle to parquet when it comes to feeling barefoot. We have summarized some reasons that speak for parquet for you:

The elegant look

Improvements are not necessary, nature has done a good job. The irregular, more or less finely grained surface of parquet looks beautiful, lively and elegant. Wood oil provides a natural finish.

Healthy living floor

Parquet is largely free of harmful substances. It also regulates the indoor climate: thanks to its open-pored structure, excess moisture is absorbed from the air and released again.

Parquet flooring is sustainable

Parquet, whether solid or multilayer, is made of 100 percent wood – and it grows back. If you want to be on the safe side when it comes to your ecological footprint, choose local species such as beech, ash or oak. Look out for the PEFC seal for wood from sustainable forestry.

Wood lasts forever

The harder the wood (oak), the more resistant the surface. Stilettos, chair legs or claws leave hardly any marks. And if they do, after 15 years: Fine sanding and re-oiling or varnishing. With good care, parquet lasts a lifetime.

Saugen und gelegentlich mit einem leicht feuchten, weichen Bodentuch wischen – fertig! Zur Reinigung genügen ein paar Tropfen Admonter Clean and Care in Wasser.

If you choose hard wood (oak, ash), it will also withstand the usual scratching attacks of your beloved four-legged friend. And if something goes wrong while eating, it can simply be wiped up.

Parquet is healthy

The essential oils in wood are mainly responsible for any health-promoting effect. Over the course of several years, they are constantly released into the air where we breathe them in. Among other things, essential oils can have pain-relieving and mood-enhancing effects, which is one of the main reasons why a parquet floor gives a room a homely, “cozy” feeling. We unconsciously perceive the scent and effects of these oils and therefore always feel comfortable in a room with a wooden floor.

Admonter acoustic solutions: Hear the difference!

Admonter acoustic solutions: Hear the difference!

Whether it's clattering dishes or whooping children - Admonter acoustic elements "absorb" up to 100% of the incident sound and thus reduce the reverberation time.

Acoustics with added value

One of the main criteria for acoustics is usually the reverberation time, i.e. the time it takes for a sound to die down. In closed rooms, sound waves repeatedly reflect off the walls and floor until they become weaker, which makes us perceive a room as loud. Hard surfaces such as glass, concrete or tiles reflect sound particularly well.

Admonter Acoustics do exactly the opposite – they absorb up to 100% of the sound that hits them!

Naturally, the 100% Austrian-made acoustic elements are also free from harmful substances and respirable fibers and are open to vapor diffusion to contribute to healthy living.

Admonter products are also PEFC and EPD certified and bear the Austrian Ecolabel.

But listen for yourself!

New and functional – the Admonter wooden acoustic ceiling canopy

Simple installation, noticeably better room acoustics and an elegant design - these are the features of the brand new Admonter Acoustic Premium ceiling sail.

The Admonter Acoustic Premium ceiling sail is not only beautiful to look at, it also insulatesa sound and thus ensures pleasant room acoustics. Once you’ve installed it, you won’t be able to imagine life without it!

The advantages of the Admonter ceiling sail:

  • As the upper side is also acoustically effective, this results in a higher surface-related absorption performance
  • Ideal when using thermal component activation (ceiling heating/cooling) as there is no flat shielding
  • Since the suspended installation minimizes the room height, the use in higher rooms is preferable
  • Relatively quick retrofitting possible in finished rooms
  • Local acoustic tuning in the room possible, as freely positionable
  • Special applications, e.g. not placed parallel (+/-10°) to floor/ceiling, can be realized without great effort
